HEAD & BODY SCANNING
We offer a comprehensive body and costume scanning service, whether you wish to scan a single subject or a whole cast. We use a variety of technology solutions and resolutions to give you detail where it counts.
We can offer models with and without texture, in all industry-standard formats. All data is provided at varying decimation levels to allow you to work with a low polygon model whilst still having access to all the detail of the full data.
Our service is fully mobile and we can set up in as little as 5 minutes and start scanning. Unlike many solutions, we don't necessarily require a bespoke location to carry out our scans, saving you money and allowing us to blend seamlessly with the rest of your production.
LIDAR SCANNING
Whether you wish to scan a single room, a building or an entire location, we can provide accurate LIDAR scans of the area. We can tailor resolution depending on end use: a simple tracking reference or the capture of fine sculptural details.
We utilise a variety of systems from Leica and FARO - we've found that every system has it's benefits and drawbacks and we have the experience to choose the right system for the task in hand.
We can provide data in point format or as a fully meshed model, with or without a texture.
We can also carry out high-resolution photography and map this onto your data should the system's built in colour not meet your requirements.
OBJECT & PROP SCANNING
Whether you need to scan a small coin or a massive animatronic, we have a system to match your needs. Our resolutions run from a few millimetres down to 0.1mm – the only limitation is time and budget to the amount of detail we can extract from your object.
As with our other types of scanning, we can draw on a number of systems and techniques to best match technology to your project, including laser scanning, projected and patterned light and photogrammetry.
Models can be provided with or without texture, and at varying polygon counts. We always try to give you the maximum detail possible within the time and budget you specify.
We can output data in a number of formats to provide you with the correct data regardless of whether your end use might be VFX or 3D printing.
VEHICLE SCANNING
The scanning of vehicles could be classed as LIDAR or Object/Prop scanning dependent on their size and hence the system that we choose for their capture.
Over the years we have scanned cars, tanks, buses, planes, helicopters and even aircraft carriers and ocean liners. We've yet to encounter anything whose scale or complexity is beyond our capabilities.
We can scan both the external structure and internals, even the cramped interiors of tank turrets and aircraft cockpits.
